Common Sandpiper
The Sound Approach has a very useful page here.
#1: This call was recorded at our house on 30/04/2021 at 23:28.
At first I wrote it off as the neighbours with their dog whislte but when asked they denied using it at that hour! Further investigation on the Sound Approach page showed a very similar call as the second one in the identification section. Three notes lasting a total of 0.5s, the first lasting for 013s rising from 5.1 to 5.4 khz, the second very similar and the third a little shorter and flatter at 5khz. |
